Inveniam Athletics offers a comprehensive strength and conditioning program that will help your athlete get a step ahead of the competition in the off season. Our program focuses on Strength, Endurance, Olympic lifting, Functional Movement and Mobility/Flexibility. We believe that our balanced program will not only improve your athletes strength and conditioning, but they will be healthier going into the season and less likely to be sidelined by injury during the season. We will teach mobility and recovery techniques that your student athlete will carry with them throughout the year to stay healthy.
We take proper movement seriously at Inveniam Athletics. We will perform a 12 Site Movement Screening on each athlete. The screening tool is used to identify limitations or asymmetries in fundamental movement patterns that are key to functional movement quality. This data will be used to help identify areas of poor movement quality in each athlete, so that we can focus on improving movement, thereby reducing the risk of injury and reaching optimal levels of performance. So, your high school athlete can become stronger, faster, and better than the competition!
Each session will be conducted in a class format led by our certified coaches. Our class structure includes a session specific warm up, then strength, speed or skill work depending on the day and then finish with mobility. At Inveniam Athletics, we put a lot of emphasis on mobility. We feel that it can be the key to upping any athlete’s game. If you can get in better position during your lifts and movements, you move safer and you can move more weight; in turn you get stronger. We also teach recovery techniques and offer nutritional guidance to educate young athletes on how making good decisions off the field, between games, and at practices can also improve their athletic ability.
At the beginning of the Summer Strength Camp we will test several different areas including strength, speed, aerobic and anaerobic capacity. We will retest throughout the camp to keep an eye on progress and see how each individual athlete adapts to the training stimulus. Your student athletes will also learn proper Olympic Weightlifting technique from United States of America Weightlifting certified coaches and nationally ranked lifters. Why Olympic Weightlifting? It teaches athletes how to create power and change direction. To be good at weightlifting you have to be strong, fast and flexible which all carry over to sport.
This camp is for all High School Athletes. This includes 8th graders moving up to 9th grade.
