The CrossFit Games Open Season is Here!

Every year the sport of fitness has been growing. In 2011 when the first CrossFit Open was introduced 26,000 people signed up to participate. That number has grown exponentially over the years. This year there are 270,000 people worldwide competing in the RX division alone, that's not including masters, teens and the newly introduced scaled and Military/LEO/Fire divisions. So what does this mean to you? Not everyone competing in the open will be advancing to the regional or games level and that's ok. This time of year gives you a chance to see all of the hard work that you've put in come to fruition. You will be able to test yourself and see where you stand in the worldwide community of CrossFit. If you've been participating in the open over the last few years you will be able to see if your training has been progressing by moving up in the ranks a few places. For many of us we played sports in high school or college. Once you leave school we lose that competitive edge unless you were lucky enough to become a pro athlete or you continue playing in a rec league. The Open gives us a chance to enjoy competing in a fun and supportive environment. We will be completing the Open workouts every Saturday morning until the end of the Open season. Before each workout there will be a detailed breakdown of the best pacing and strategies for you to use to get the most out of your Open workouts. After the discussion on strategy we will go through a thorough warm up to ensure you are best prepared to tackle the events that lay ahead of you. After completion of the workout we will conduct an extensive cool down to flush your muscles and talk about how the event went and how we can improve. Have a Happy Open Season!
